A viral video clip of bridesmaids dissing the bride and groom after a wedding has gone viral, eliciting mixed reactions.

Why Kenyan bridesmaids exposed bride

The video, which was initially shared on TikTok by @brandymaina showed bridesmaids in long purple gowns walking while complaining about how 'low budget' the wedding was that they could not afford cars.

"Low budget wedding. They have left us behind. They are walking while carrying their heels on their hands. And it is not 20 or 200 metres, and it is a far distance. But don't worry, at my wedding, you will not walk," said the lady recording.

The video sparked heated debate, with netizens calling out the ladies for taking to social media to embarrass their friend who had asked them to support her on her special day.

Nairobi bridesmaid recalls SDA wedding

Elsewhere, a Nairobi woman identified as Bernadette Shirley Kerubo disclosed that she was once on the lineup for an SDA wedding, and the family insisted they remove all the fancy hairstyles.

The young lawyer told TUKO.co.ke that the bridesmaids knew things were thick when they were called to a meeting on the eve of the event and given the terms and conditions.

Apart from the hair and makeup, they were also asked to remove all paintings from their nails and given minimalist bridal dresses.
