Ugandan comedian Brian Egwalu, popularly known as Little Brian, could not control his joy when his skits in Uganda were featured during a lesson in Germany.

Brian's comedy is characterised by clever observations and humorous takes on everyday life woven to give viewers a good laugh.

It never occurred to him that it would one day become the source of attention abroad, so he never mentioned it to his classmates.

Started with snow

He told TUKO.co.ke that it all began when he wrote a post in a German Facebook group about this year being the first time he had seen snow.

As it turned out, his lecturer was in that group, saw the post and noticed that the individual resembled one of his students, so he followed him.

During the research, the German language lecturer named Helms landed on the comedian's YouTube channel and watched several videos.

"Yesterday in class, he told my classmates that I am popular in my country Uganda, then went ahead to run some of the videos," he recalled.

Brian now famous in class

Brian expressed how emotional he was to be the man of the moment in a classroom miles away from his home.

The comedian took to social media to express his overwhelming emotions upon learning about this unexpected global reach.

"My colleagues were excited seeing that they were studying with someone popular. I am very famous in our class now," an excited Brian said.

Fans and followers flooded social media with messages of support and excitement, expressing their joy at witnessing his talent traverse borders.

Brian studies at Oldenburg

Little Brian joined the University of Oldenburg in April, a milestone he dedicated to his grandmother, who played a pivotal role in his upbringing.

When the 27-year-old funnyman shared the news with his fans, many initially doubted the information's authenticity.

They only believed the story was true after he shared pictures of himself in class with international students.
