Kenyans have reacted harshly to a tweet by President William Ruto's economic advisor, David Ndii.

On Wednesday, December 5, the outspoken economist tweeted, alluding to Kenyans getting the leadership that they deserve in the 2022 polls.

"People get the leaders they deserve," Ndii posted on his X formerly Twitter.

The tweet by Ndii attracted fury from Kenyans, some of whom questioned why he was still in a government he did not believe in.

Others said they did not deserve to be ruled by the Kenya Kwanza Alliance, of which Ndii was part.

What David Ndii said about corruption

In other news, Ndii vowed to stand firm against any form of greed, corruption, or misuse of power by the government.

In a statement, the president's economic advisor said he would not take collective responsibility for lies within the government.

"Three things I will not be party to, defend, or take collective responsibility for: lies and taking the public for fools, corruption, and vomiting on the people's shoes," stated Ndii.
