Veteran spin master Peter Chuani, popularly known as DJ Pinye, is mourning the sad passing of his father.

DJ Pinye loses his father

In a heart-wrenching Instagram post, Pinye shared the news of his father's demise.

"It is with deep sorrow that I reveal the profound loss of my beloved father, his departure leaving an indescribable void. Despite my hopes for 2024, finding solace in the end of his pain is bittersweet," he wrote.

He accompanied the post with photos of him and his late father.

In one photo, the elderly man was wiping Pinye's head with a white towel while the DJ worked the turntables.

A second photo showed the two men sharing a tender moment and hugging each other.

Pinye's father diagnosed with Alzheimer's

Previously, Pinye disclosed that his father was battling Alzheimer's.

Alzheimer's is a brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills and, eventually, the ability to carry out the simplest tasks.

"Some time ago, my dad was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, a truly devastating experience for anyone. Watching his memories fade away as the condition progressed was heart-wrenching," Pinye said at the time.

That being said, by the time of this publication, it was not clear whether Pinye's father's death was related to his diagnosis.

According to the obituary, the senior Tande passed away following a short illness.
