Comedian Eric Omondi cannot contain his happiness after a baby he helped when she suffered serious burns recovered fully.

Maya gets burns from hot tea

In an Instagram post shared by Omondi, little Maya is seen dancing away without a care in the world, oblivious to the fact that she almost lost her life weeks before.

"Do you remember our beautiful girl Maya from Meru County who had serious second degree burns? She is now completely healed and back home playing, dancing and singing all because of you guys," said Omondi.

"God is happy. Team sisi kwa sisi, God bless you abundantly," he added.

Kenyans help Omondi raise hospital bill

Around four weeks ago, Omondi got a distress call from a woman in Meru identified as Irene M'ngaruthi, who shared that her daughter had been burnt by hot tea.

The family was in dire need as Irene's husband was jobless

"I left Nairobi at dawn and got to Meru and the baby is now in hospital. We are going to help each other. I've sent my donation to her; you can also send her whatever you have to her number 0727629357 Her name is Irene M'ngaruthi," said Omondi at that time.
