Jackie Matubia Admits She Fears Getting Married Again After Divorce Cost Her KSh 300k

Former Zora actress Jackie Matubia has opened up about going through a divorce after her first marriage.

In an interview with a local website, Matubia, who was married to Kennedy Njogu, a pilot, parted ways in March 2019, citing irreconcilable differences.

She narrated she struggled to deal with the slipt legally during the COVID-19 period when things were not as vibrant physically.

The mother of two also admitted that the experience has made her scared of getting married again.

In her words:

"I used roughly KSh 300,000 for the process; that would change depending on your case. If you guys have assets together, a problem with child support. There is just a lot. There are a lot of hearings and so on. Mine was even traumatising because it was during the COVID-19 period, so your case is mentioned, you can’t go to court, you do online, then it’s canceled. That trauma really got to me," she said.

Matubia on starting solo after being dumped

The former Tahidi actress, in 2022, narrated she went through a series of deep depression when her first baby daddy left her with nothing.

At the time, she also did not have a solid job, and she had to put herself together to give her daughter hope.

Matubia said she only had a mattress that she and her daughter used for sleeping and sitting as they hoped for better days.

"It was a very tough time, and by then I was just at home since I had no job and I could look around me and it was just an empty house with nothing," she said.

Matubia on having baby daddy with brains

Matubia recently shared a video where she narrated how life had been tough for her over the past months, but God saw her through.

She revealed she suffered so many losses this year and advised women to have children with men who have functional brains.

The mother of two also shared that she is a proud single mother of two as she thanked God for being the father of her children when things got crazy.
