Kenyan dentist Dr Naph Macharia has opened up about his family's remarkable journey following the loss of their father 16 years ago.

In a video posted on the medics TikTok handle, @dr.naph_macharia, he also shared the subsequent dedication of their mother to raise him and his two brothers single-handedly.

According to the video, Dr Macharia's mother, a resilient primary school teacher, became both mother and father to her children after their father's passing.

"16 years ago, my dad passed away. My mum, a primary school teacher, was left with the three of us to raise alone," Dr Macharia shared in the heartfelt video.

The TikTok video then takes viewers on a tour of the family's joyous Christmas celebration, where, for the first time, all three brothers parked their cars outside their mother's house.

"This is the first Christmas that all of us parked our cars outside her house," Dr Macharia shared, capturing the pride and joy of the moment."
"She was soo proud, and we continue thanking God for her every day," he added.

"Next year, Christmas is at her own house. Not rented. We shall make sure."
