The nominees of the first edition of the TUKO Entertainment Awards were selected through consideration of a number of factors that reflect the dynamic nature of the entertainment industry.

The jury focused on digital innovation, creativity, and the community-building projects Kenyan creatives have undertaken over the past year to select nominees in the seven categories.

The selection was done by a team of Kenya's most experienced entertainment journalists led by TUKO.co.ke’s Head of Entertainment Victor Otengo.
