Legendary Congolese singer Koffi Olomide has expressed his gratitude to his Kenyan fans for their overwhelming support and love during his Peace Concert in Nairobi.

The concert, which was held at the ASK Dome Showground on Saturday, December 9, was a huge success, with thousands of fans thronging the venue to watch the rhumba maestro perform.

Why was Koffi Olomide amazed by Kenyan fans?

Olomide, who had not visited Kenya for over six years, said he was amazed by the warm reception and loyalty of his fans, despite his controversial deportation in 2016 over allegations of assaulting his dancer at the airport.

Speaking before leaving Nairobi, Olomide said he was a happy man and felt stronger after seeing his fans again.

He also expressed his willingness to return and perform in other cities of Kenya, such as Mombasa, Kisumu and Eldoret.

"My dear fans. My friends from Kenya. My family, before I leave Nairobi, I wanted to say thank you. I wanted to tell you my gratitude to see you again after many years. After six years. You made me a happy man. I am now stronger.

My duty from now on is to ensure your confidence and friendship are established. You are the best fans in the world. I am proud of you. My wish is to be back again to visit cities of Kenya like Eldoret, Mombasa, Kisumu... We are a family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for this show and for the time we shared. Stay blessed," Olomide said in a video.

Known for his flexibility and fluid dance moves, the singer whined his waist to the amusement of fans.

Koffi also performed with his beautiful wife some songs they composed together.

Koffi wore a stylish mauve suit, a white cap with the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) flag, designer sunglasses, and white high heels.
