Muigai wa Njoroge has, for the first time, talked about his love journey with his first wife, Njeri.

How did Muigai wa Njoroge meet his wife Njeri?

While speaking at Njeri's Woman of Courage Foundation launch, the polygamous gospel singer narrated how he met her.

He revealed they met in 2000 near a chang'aa den, thanking Njeri for changing him for the better.

"You came into my life when I was a young person and helped ground me. When I married you I had only KSh 7,000 in my pocket, and I married you so that I could not waste my youth. You know where I found you, hapo Baraka at a place where they were selling chang'aa and an adjacent shop where you wanted to sleep," he narrated.

Muigai said he was not yet married then, and miraculously, it was like God had sent him a companion.

"When I saw you, I told you that I wanted to get married, and you told me to marry you. I told you that if you were serious, to meet me in town the next day. I thought it was jokes until when you came the next day. This was in the year 2000. I then went looking for her; I showed her the mabati house that I had rented and she got in, never to come out, and she will never leave," he added.

Muigai and Njeri are blessed with four children, and on August 26, 2023, he formalised his union with his second wife, Queen Stacey.

Muigai wa Njoroge slammed for 'disrespecting' first wife

During his speech at Njeri's event, Muigai brought up his second wife, Stacey, leaving guests with tongues wagging.

The polygamous singer applauded Njeri for allowing him to marry a second wife, whom he always pampers with love.

"You always make me happy because when I told you I wanted another wife, you didn't oppose it. You told me your mother is also a second wife, and I brought Stacy home. You accepted her as my wife because if you opposed her and I had accepted her, nothing could have changed. Thanks for accepting her," he said.

Reacting to Muigai's remarks, a section of netizens slammed him, terming his speech at Njeri's event as disrespectful.
