Murang'a - Police have launched investigations after a woman killed her husband in a suspected love triangle in Mukuyu village, Kiharu sub-county.

Citizen Digital reported that the wife quarrelled with her husband over a mysterious woman before she stabbed him to death.

The husband allegedly left his wife and their daughter in the house as he went shopping at the market.

While he was away, another woman came to the house and asked about his whereabouts.

The mysterious woman allegedly introduced herself as the victim's girlfriend, something that angered the suspect.

When the husband returned, the wife confronted him about the other woman, but he denied knowing her.

During the heated argument, the wife allegedly reached for a kitchen knife and stabbed him before locking herself in the bedroom.

The couple's six-year-old daughter found her father in a pool of blood and screamed for help, but it was too late as a neighbour found him dead.

His body was moved to Murang'a Level 5 Hospital as the suspect was arrested by officers from Murang'a Police Station.

Kiambu man Confesses to killing lover

In other news, a Kiambu man confessed to orchestrating the gruesome murder of his wife of nine months, whose body was found stashed in a suitcase outside a plot in Kamakis, Ruiru.

The woman's body was discovered outside rental properties in the Kaimakis area of Ruiru, Kiambu county, wrapped in a suitcase.

The woman was identified as Risper Ndunge, and her new husband, Morris Njuguna, 28, admitted to killing her on the night of April 18.

Nation reported that the suspect gave a blow-by-blow account of how he killed the woman in their rental house and put her remains in the suitcase, which he later dumped outside the rentals, just a few metres from where they lived.
