Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has asked President William Ruto to show no mercy to rogue state officers.

What does Sudi want Ruto to do?

At the Kimalel goat auction and cultural festival on Thursday, December 14, the lawmaker conveyed to Ruto that there are several corrupt individuals in the Rift Valley region, urging him to put into action the third approach (cartels to be taken to heaven) in his efforts to tackle cartels.

"There are corrupt leaders in Elgeyo Marakwet, Baringo, Turkana, and Pokot. The only way to silence them is by applying the number three strategy so that Kenyans can live in peace. We should not beat about the bush. Let them face number three," Sudi informed the president.
"In Elgeyo Marakwet, we have about 15, and the same holds for both Baringo and Turkana. However, in Kamget, the count is slightly higher. It's time for them to face the third strategy," he added.

What are Ruto's strategies for combating cartels?

President Ruto introduced the "Mambo ni Matatu" trademark during his tour of Western Kenya. He sounded a stern warning to sugar cartels slowing his efforts to revitalise Mumias Sugar Company.

"Let me repeat so that they hear well. I have said corrupt cartels who are stealing from Kenyans, who brought Mumias and Nzoia Sugar companies down and are now behaving bullishly, must vacate Kenya. We will deal with them firmly. And I have said that if they do not change, they should vacate the country; if not, they will go to jail, or they should pack their things and go to heaven," Ruto said as the crowd cheered.
