Neno Evangelism founder and pastor James Ng’ang’a has shown his generosity by gifting two new church members with brand-new televisions.

The controversial preacher made the announcement during a church service, saying that he wanted to reward the two women for turning to Christ and joining his ministry.

Why did Ng'ang'a gift new converts?

He revealed that one of the women had sold her 43-inch TV to raise money before she came to his church, while the other one had no TV of her own and used to pay KSh 100 to watch his sermon on her neighbour’s TV.

He said that he was touched by their stories and decided to buy them 32-inch TVs each, which he presented to them in front of the congregation.

“There is a woman who came here after selling her TV. She has not been here for a whole month. I have decided to buy her a small one because she now has none. Then there is another one who doesn’t have a TV. She was told by her mother to watch Sasa TV and she went and paid someone KSh 100 to watch their person’s TV and there she heard my teachings and joined us,” he said and called them forward to hand them the gifts.

How much did Ng'ang'a give hawkers in his church?

A few weeks ago, Ng'ang'a gave each hawker in his church KSh 10,000 to empower them.

He then instructed his assistants to take their names and phone numbers and promised to send them the money through mobile money transfer.

"I will give each of them KSh 10,000. Write their name and phone numbers. I want you to be united. Be united and know each other and start your group. You will be saving KSh 10 or KSh 20 per week. It will grow and grow into a big amount,” Ng’ang’a said.
