Renowned televangelist Pastor Victor Kanyari has revealed a shocking incident that happened in his studio.

The pastor confessed that he once assaulted a man whom he had offered shelter after the man and his girlfriend damaged his TV during a quarrel.

How did Kanyari deal with man who broke TV?

Speaking to his congregation, Kanyari said he had welcomed the couple into his studio, where he also had a TV set.

He said that he was surprised to find out that the couple had broken his TV after engaging in a fight.

He said he was so angry that he decided to teach the man a lesson, but he had to disguise it as a deliverance session.

"I had a TV in my studio, and I gave them a room to stay. They fought and broke my TV. I was so mad that I wanted to beat him up, but I knew he would scream and attract the neighbours. So I pretended that I was praying for him and delivering him from demons. That's why you see me hitting him and shouting. People thought he had demons, but he didn't. He just broke my TV," Kanyari said.

How did Pastor Kanyari react to sister's death?

Separately, the preacher opened up after the death of his sister, Starlet Wahu.

In an interview with Nairobi News, pastor Kanyari revealed that the man captured with his sister on the CCTV video had not met Starlet's family.

Kanyari noted that it was truly a sad time for the family, as they were heartbroken upon learning of their sister's death.

“I am heartbroken; she was doing so well in life. We last met on Christmas, and on December 31, we spent time together at home. We had not seen the man before. We learned about him after her death. This is so tragic for us, the family, and even her friends. May her soul rest in peace,” he said.
