Why did Ann Njogu keep family hidden?

Very little is known about the award-winning journalist's personal life.

In March 2022, the presenter explained that she never shared photos of her family on social media as she intended to keep her personal life private.

Njogu said she valued her privacy and saw no need to plaster photos of her loved ones online.

“My social media pages are active and feature my work. So why do I need to show you my kid going to school or a swimming lesson? I love my privacy so much, and when my children come of age, they will decide if they want to be exposed. The same applies to my better half if he is there,” she told TUKO.co.ke.

The 2021 Merc Foundation award winner added that she does not like unnecessary attention, but fans often recognise her when out and about.
