Rose Muhando Denies Ali Mukhwana's Claims She Coned Church KSh 200k, Says He Threatened Her

Tanzanian gospel singer Rose Muhando has dismissed the claims that she conned several pastors by taking money from them and failing to attend their crusades.

The allegations were made by musician Ali Mukhwana, who had invited Muhando to a crusade in Bungoma.

Mukhwana had accused Muhando of double-booking events and receiving money from six preachers with a promise of attending their crusades on the same day.

He also said that Muhando had received KSh 200,000 from the pastor who was hosting the crusade in Bungoma, but she did not show up.

However, Muhando has refuted the allegations and said she only agreed to attend one crusade and was paid a deposit of KSh 50,000.

She also said that she was unwell.

Muhando said that what annoyed her was that Mukhwana started calling her friends and threatening her with dire consequences if she failed to attend the crusade.

She said that Mukhwana claimed they had invited politicians and that the host pastor was influential.

"Ali Mukhwana connected me to a preacher, and we agreed I would attend their crusade. I quoted KSh 200,000, but they asked me to reduce it to KSh 170,000. They paid me a deposit of KSh 50,000. Just before the crusade, Ali started calling my close friends and telling them that they had paid me to attend their crusade.

He also called me and told me that they were expecting me to attend the event since they had invited even politicians and should I fail, they would take serious action against me because the host pastor is a powerful man. That is what angered me the most but I was unwell," Muhando said in a phone interview with Presenter Kai.
