Nairobi - The splinter factions of the larger Jubilee Party have continued to sustain an onslaught against each other as they both claim legal leadership of the party.

The two sides parallelly pledge allegiance to former president Uhuru Kenyatta and nominated MP Sabina Chege.

On Wednesday, December 20, the side under Sabina met at Nairobi's Safari Park Hotel to deliberate on issues pertinent to the party, the rivalling side taking offence at it.

The Kioni faction accused Sabina and her team of flouting the court by going ahead with the meetings.

"We note with disappointment that in their last kicks, the Jubilee Party coup plotters still continue to mislead our elected leaders and our members. The group led by one Sabina Chege who has never been an official of the party and one Kanini are currently holding a meeting at Safari Park hotel convened against our party constitution and in contempt of multiple court orders," the party lamented.

The party claimed they were robbed of KSh 90 million that was procedurally obtained from the accounts.

The monies, according to the account of the aggrieved side, were shared between the Sabina loyalists without any trace of tangible use.

"They even went ahead and swiped 90 million shillings from our bank accounts. Unfortunately, the money was shared between a few individuals, and there is nothing to show for it," said Kioni's side.
