Dubai - President William Ruto was among the world leaders who presided over the launch of the Africa Green Industrialisation on Saturday, December 2.

The event happened in the oil-rich United Arab Emirates on the sidelines of the ongoing 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference.

President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed al Nahyan, more than 10 heads of state from Africa, COP28 President Sultan Al Jaber, and the UN Climate Change High-Level Champion for Egypt, Mahmoud Mohieldin, were present.

What William Ruto did at COP28

Ahead of the event, President Ruto was filmed answering quick questions from state house spokesperson Hussein Mohamed and members of his delegation attending the climate summit.

The head of state appeared to inquire about the details of the next meeting (green renewable energy) he was expected to attend.

"Where are we going? To do what? Where is the meeting? How many minutes walk? Okay, so we can go," President Ruto said.
