Larry met model, actress, and television personality Anna Nicole Smith in May 2004 while attending the major Louisville-area Kentucky Derby party known as the Trish Barnstable Brown Gala.

Anna gave birth to a baby girl on September 7, 2006, in Nassau, Bahamas. Other men who claimed paternity included Anna's lawyer, Howard K. Stern, Frederic Prinz von Anhalt, and Alexander Denk, Anna's former bodyguard.
