Police officers from Bomet County are searching for a pastor who allegedly vanished with a Form Four girl from Ngeririt Secondary School.

The pastor is alleged to have left with the candidate after he attended the school's prayer day.

According to Citizen TV, a police report indicated that the pastor was last seen with the school girl at Mogogosiek Trading Centre.

The duo are alleged to have boarded a boda boda and disappeared into an unknown location.

The Bomet County Education reported to the OCS about the incident, prompting law enforcers to mount a search for the man.

The director said he hopes the investigation will be expedited to ensure that the girl is taken back to school to continue preparing for her national exams.

"She should be revising for her exams," Bomet County Education Director Leonard Ngugi said.

Missing Kiambu Form Four girl returns home

Elsewhere, a Form Four girl from Wangige in Kiambu county who disappeared in September 2022 after leaving home for church returned home to her distraught mother.

Gladwell Wairimu went missing after she left home to go church but did not return, sending shivers down the spines of her family, which began a relentless search for the daughter.

However, the young lady returned home following a report by Inooro TV's Wathire Ku (where did you go) program, which aired her disappearance and her mother's desperation to find her.

Meru Form 4 girl knocked down by speeding vehicle

In a separate story, a high school student from Chuka in Meru county died in a horrific accident after she was sent home for school fees.

The student from Kiereni Secondary School perished after she was knocked down by a speeding vehicle as she crossed the Meru-Nairobi highway.

The girl, who has since been identified as Peninah Kyalo, wanted to cross the road so that she could walk to Chuka town when she met her death.

The learner had tried getting a boda boda to ferry her to Chuka town, but the operators declined to carry her as she only had KSh 20 instead of 30 for the short trip.
