Khalwale took centre stage at the African Church of the Holy Spirit, striking an Isukuti (drum) in a sweet melodious tune.

The bullfighting enthusiast wore his trademark mischievous smile as he played the drum with skill and enthusiasm.

He blended in with the worshippers as they rhythmically bounced to the beat, with some expertly shuffling their feet uniformly like trained soldiers.

The Kakamega senator recently disclosed his wife, Josephine Umina Khalwale, had undergone successful knee surgery.

Khalwale shared photos of him standing by his wife's hospital bed at the Aga Khan Hospital.

The politician shared photos of his wife's heavily bandaged leg after it had gone under the surgical blade at the medical facility.

Ababu Namwamba plays Isukuti

In other news, Sports Cabinet Secretary Ababu Namwamba showed his not so often seen side as he joined the jubilant Salvation Army faithful in a dance.

The flashy public servant went back to his Luhya roots, flaunting his prowess at rhythmically playing the traditional drums.
