Brighton Thee PL: Content Creator Accused Of Faking Wife's Death, Baby's Kidnapping To Get Money

A Kenyan YouTuber has been accused of faking his child’s kidnapping and his wife’s death to fleece Kenyans in a script that could make a blockbuster movie.

Brighton Thee PL, the young man claimed that his child was kidnapped at their home in the Tassia area before claiming his wife Faith Musyoki had died.

Speaking to another YouTuber, Commentartor254, Brighton claimed that Faith died but was later resurrected by a witch doctor.

“She was taken from the hospital to a mortuary in Kisii and buried,” he claimed.

However, YouTuber Truth Watchdog traced Faith’s, and she denied claims that her daughter was dead.

"She said her daughter was alive,” Watchdog said.

Did Brighton Thee PL visit Tassia police station?

Watchdog then went to Tassia police station to ascertain Brighton’s claims that his six-month-old child was kidnapped.

“There was no report in the Occurrence Book. I reported the matter to the DCI after consultation with the officers,” Watchdog said.

He then went to the house where the kidnapping allegedly happened, but the caretaker refused to show the CCTV footage of the incident.

Watchdog later obtained an audio recording of the caretaker saying it was staged.

“That boy was acting, just like Zora died in the Citizen TV show,” the caretaker said while admitting they deleted the CCTV clip.

He accused Brighton of fraudulently obtaining money from Kenyans.

“How can you use your child to obtain money from people? He put up a KSh 5 million target, and Kenyan women working in the Gulf sent money in huge numbers.”

Watchdog claimed that Brighton needed the money to complete the construction of his house and had purchased a Toyota Harrier.

“This case is not a joke, and I will continue following up,” he said.
