Speaking on Monday at the Show after a special church service on Sunday at the ACK Cathedral church in Mombasa that saw the less fortunate receive food donations, Anisa noted that President William Ruto is also expected to open the Show on Thursday, September 7 officially.

The chairperson Abdallah also said over 190 Exhibitors have registered for the Show compared to last year's Show, including the Kenya Meat Commission and the Office of the President, which were absent for last year's exhibition.

"I am glad that exhibitors have increased from 120 to 198. It is a development and achievement for us and our expected visitors. We have Kenya Meat Commission, which will be showcasing their different meat varieties, and also they will be selling their meat at a cheaper price," She said.

Anisa also noted that they expect over 1,000 Students to tour the Show of Mombasa to learn more about agriculture and farming.

"We also expect students from all over Kenya to attend this year's Show. We have a lot of goodies for them, and they will learn a lot. Parents are also urged to take their families on weekends to enjoy the Show," she added.

According to them, this year's theme is 'Promoting Climate-Smart Agriculture and Trade Initiatives for Sustainable Economic Growth'.

Lydia Mandila, a representative from Kenya Meat Commission, said they are very happy to be part of this year's new exhibitors at the Show of Mombasa and expect an exquisite turnout.

"We will be displaying our products and at the same time selling them to those interested and meat lovers. People will have different samples of meat tasting as they tour our exhibition tent," she said.

Mandila also said they will promote farmers with good quality livestock at the Show.

"We are not only selling and showcasing what we do at our Kenya Meat Commission, but we are here to also promote our fellow farmers with good products that fit us," adds Mandila.

Joseph Rotich, a representative from the Coast Guard, assured Kenyans of maximum security to conduct business at the Coastal town freely.

"We are here to provide security to Kenyans. We will ensure everything runs smoothly and to everyone's desire. We urge Kenyans to come in large numbers," Rotich concluded.

The Mombasa Agricultural Show is expected to close its doors on Sunday, September 10.

Mombasa showground Charges will be KSh 250 for children and students and KSh 300 for adults.
