The youngest widow of the late Eldoret businessman Jackson Kibor risks jail after the High Court faulted her for interfering with his multi-billion estate.

Justice Reuben Nyakundi warned Eunita Jelimo, cautioning her from selling any of the deceased's properties in Rift Valley, Coast and Nairobi.

"It has come to the court's attention that there has been inter-meddling of the deceased's estate by you; let that stop because doing that will land you in jail," the judge warned as quoted by People Daily.

The judge said being named as one of the estate's administrators does not permit Eunita to dispose of Kibor's property.

Kibor, who died in March 2022, left behind a will naming Eunita and his lawyer Jonah Keter as the administrators of his properties, but it is being contested by his 27 children at the High Court.

According to Daily Nation, they claimed the will was forged.

Eunita accuses Kibor's children of taking over property

By the time of his death, the Men's Conference chairman had accumulated wealth worth over KSh 16 billion despite his little educational background.

His wealth, including large tracts of land, is now the subject of tussle.

After his demise, Eunita accused his children of attempting to disinherit her from the properties left behind by her husband.

Eunita claimed that Mzee's children were threatening to finish her off so they could inherit the assets.

The distraught widow said she had reported the matter to the police station, but no action had been taken.

Jackson Kibor's will

In May 2022, Kibor's family agreed to share his property in line with the will he left behind.

In the will signed before lawyer Wilson Kalya by Kibor in April 2021, before his demise in March 2022, he gave clear orders that his property be divided among his wives equally.

Kibor, who owned over 5,000 acres of land in Uasin Gishu and Trans Nzoia counties, married four wives and had more than 25 children, including 16 boys.

The will was read to his wives and children in the presence of lawyer Wilson Kalya at Sirikwa Hotel in Eldoret under tight security, an exercise that took three hours.
