Comedian Eric Omondi has embarked on a heartfelt mission to raise funds for a one-month-old baby diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in the jaw.

The initiative, aimed at securing the necessary funds for the infant's medical treatment, will be conducted on social media.

Stop Pyden's pain

In a post on Instagram, Eric shared a video of himself carrying the infant named Pyden Mudoga, who is evidently in excruciating pain.

The entertainer explained that he has visited Pyden several times in the hospital and every time he always finds him crying due to the constant pain.

Seated beside them was the little one's mother, Magdalene Khamisi, whom Eric described as a very strong woman.

"Tonight from 8pm to 12am, I'll be raising money for the baby and mother on all my social media platforms," read part of the caption.

The comedian added that apart from raising money for the baby's treatment, he hopes to help the family move from their single room in Kawangware to a better house.

Eric raised funds for Mathare man

For the better part of this year, Eric's focus has shifted from just entertainment to making a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

Just last month, he helped raise KSh 400,000 for a Mathare man who was arrested after confronting police officers who were teargassing his kid during anti-government protests.

Victor Juma was arrested despite his baby being hurt after police allegedly lobbed teargas into the sprawling slum on Thika Highway.

Eric worked hard to champion for his release and also conducted a fundraiser to help him move to a different house.

His dedication to touching lives continues to serve as a reminder of the influential role that celebrities can play in driving meaningful change within their communities.
