Kakamega - A Kakamega man has sparked reactions on social media after sharing lovely photos of his new simple house whose construction he recently completed.

Rooney Allsoptoper excited Kenyans after showing the recently completed house with a huge gate and perimeter wall.

In the photos he shared on Facebook, many were wowed by his choice of the gate and perimeter, which they admitted gave the entire compound a touch of opulence.

"Simple, by grace," he captioned the photos posted on Dream House and Building Forum.

Cost of gates in Kenya

TUKO.co.ke also contacted Rooney, who said he built the house because he wanted a simple home.

He said the gate cost him KSh 130,000 while the entire project gobbled KSh 630,000.

"The house and gate cost me KSh 630,000. I needed a small and simple house, which I built in Kakamega. The gate alone is KSh 130,000," he said.

In a separate story, a Kenyan TikToker using the handle @savage_Laurah inspired people after showcasing how she moved from a KSh 2,500 room to a house where she pays over KSh 100,000 monthly rent.

The mother of one shared a video on her TikTok page showing where she initially lived. In the video, she showed tiny, rugged homes in a slum.

She passed the homes and took a moment to pause before showing her current house.
