Yusra secures first position in competition

Kenyan teenager wins KSh 2 million Quran competition

In a momentous achievement, 17-year-old Muna Abdifatah from Kenya won the esteemed American International Tibyan Quran competition on Monday, July 10.

The event in the US witnessed Abdifatah's remarkable Quran recitation skills, surpassing her competitors and earning her the prestigious title and a cash prize of $15,000 (KSh2,118,000).

The announcement of Abdifatah's victory resonated throughout the venue as the organisers presented her with the award.

In a similar competition held in Dubai in October 2022, she secured the eighth position globally out of 300 participants.
