"Ati mimi usingizi yangu hata nikiamka Kwenda washroom haikatiki!(Even if you wake up to go to the bathroom, your sleep isn't interrupted. That should worry you)," said the preacher passionately.

Several internet users criticised the preacher for what they saw as unrealistic and unnecessary pressure placed on tenants regarding their sleeping patterns.

Aurah Aurah questioned the practicality of the preacher's statement, particularly for those who lack connections or opportunities to improve their living conditions.

"Even if you wake up at 4 am, without connections, where are you going?" She posed

Netizens share their opinions

Linda Fred, another user, took a more straightforward stance, stating,

"I will sleep because I'm paying rent."

This comment reflected the sentiment of many who felt that, as long as they are fulfilling their financial obligations, they should not be burdened by additional expectations

Tembukel echoed this sentiment, calling the preacher's approach unnecessary motivational pressure.

They emphasised that paying rent should grant tenants the right to a comfortable living space and reasonable peace of mind, stating,

"I thought once I pay rent, it is my house until I build my own home. Muhimu ni umeweza kulipa rent (What matters is that you can pay the rent)."

Priscilla contributed to the discussion, stating,

Reverend's argument is impractical

"Si bora nalipa hiyo rent? (Am I not paying the rent?)I will never pressure myself as long as I am trying my best.

Isaiah Ondieki pointed out a logical flaw in the preacher's argument by comparing it to sleeping in a bus, which is not owned by the passengers.

Highlighting the impracticality of Rotich's assertion, he wrote:

"So you should not sleep in a bus because the bus is not yours and the owner doesn't sleep? Come on, pastor."

As the video continues circulating on social media platforms, it has sparked a significant debate about the rights and expectations of tenants in rental properties.

Many have defended the importance of adequate rest regardless of their housing situation, while others have criticised the preacher for adding undue pressure on individuals.

Netizens react after Pastor discloses he gives wife KSh 183k monthly

In another story on men of God, Pastor David Ibiyeomie, the General Overseer of Salvation Ministries, advised women to be prudent with money.

During one of his sermons, he revealed that he used to give his wife KSh 110,088 for feeding every month and KSh 91,740 to KSh 110,088 for every service.

However, he later increased the feeding amount to KSh 183,481 per month, citing the size of his house.

Ibiyeomie urged women to be wise regarding their spending habits, regardless of their husbands' wealth.
