Kiambu - A heartbroken woman is blaming her mother-in-law for putting asunder what her gracious God put together.

Jacinta Wanjiku Njeri was convinced beyond any reasonable doubt that it was her mum-in-law fault her marriage crumbled.

She admitted her husband changed when he started listening to his mother's advice which crippled his judgement in his love affair.

"The mum was feeding him negativity about me and asking him why he married a lady from Kabete. She used to tell him people from Kabete were not good, and she showed him he had made a mistake marrying me.
He told me what his mum gossiped about me, but I reminded him he chose me and, therefore, he ought to decide if he wanted to listen to the mum or guard his marriage," she said.

That straw broke the camel's back as Wanjiku's husband took a bag, packed his bags and left for a while.

The mum of three from Kiambu said her mum-in-law created more problems in her marriage that led to its end.

"The son chose me, but the mum crossed boundaries. Her statement that I'm from Kabete was enough reason to put me off.
These days parents are making a mistake in getting involved in their kids' marriages. Parents are not supposed to meddle with their children's affairs, especially marriage. They create more problems than solutions when they do so," she advised.

Kiambu mum of three feud with mother-in-law

Still in mother-in-law issues, a Kiambu woman was chased away by her mother-in-law after her husband died in a car accident.

Margaret Wanjiru had a great marriage with her loving and responsible husband, but her life changed after he died in a tragic accident.

Wanjiru was kicked out of her home by her mother-in-law when her husband of six years died, and she began life from scratch.

The Kiambu mum of three said she had to do menial jobs to provide for her little ones, who looked up to her as the only provider.
