"We were living well with my husband, but he died in an accident, and my mother-in-law chased me away with my two children. I was also pregnant with the third child," she told TUKO.co.ke.

Since then, life became difficult for the struggling mother of three, who also stays with her younger sister, Mary Wambui Njoroge.

Wambui is a proud mum of two who endured a problematic early childhood and struggled to fend for other young ones.

Starting life from scratch

Wanjiru from Kiambu blamed her mother-in-law for the challenging life she experienced as she started life from scratch.

"All I can ask is never to take such an action because when you kick someone out with children, they all suffer and have nowhere else to go. If that lady had not kicked me out, I would be feeding my kids in a good house.
She made my life difficult by kicking me out because I had to start from nothing. Now I have to pay rent, and where I am, I have to buy everything, including water and vegetables, which I wouldn’t be buying if she let me stay home," she cried.

It hurt her when her children asked for food, yet she could not provide for them since she lacked a stable source of income.

Flaunting great relationship with mother-in-law

Separately, a video of a woman being spoilt by her mother-in-law during a visit went viral as netizens envied their bond.

The woman showed people that she had a great relationship with her mother-in-law, and it was a hit on TikTok.

The TikTokker posted a video showing how generous her husband's mother was, and people were fascinated by their relationship.

Online users commented on the TikTok video to share their own experiences with their in-laws.
