The boy has since been found and according to entrepreneur Yesigye Brian Bravo, Nicholas's father died when he was still in his mother's womb. He is now seven years old and in top class.

"The pastor who was helping them before COVID-19 time relocated back to Kasese when the pandemic hit and has never come back," said the Bravo Shoes Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

Nicholas's mum pays KSh 347 rent

"They live in a sorry state their house is very dilapidated, and they pay KSh 347 per month; just imagine a house in village that charges such money, life is bad as in bad," he added.

Nicholas's parents met at a landing site in Kihihi and later relocated to a stone quarry where Nicholas's father met his death by being buried by stones. He died before taking Nicholas's mother to their home.

Nicholas's mother is a casual worker who works in people's gardens for a living. Brian has vowed to walk with the little boy and attain education. He is calling on other well-wishers to help him raise the money.

Well-wishers buy shoes for barefooted boy

In other news, Elvi Bwire's viral photo in which he was admiring a pupil with shoes brought blessings after well-wishers found him.

The schoolboy, an orphan, had been living with his grandmother and never had shoes to use for school.

Apart from getting new shoes Bravo told TUKO.co.ke that he partnered with other well-wishers to educate the boy and that would be up to university.
