A 60-year-old blind man from Kisii county who had been enduring a life of poverty and neglect has found a renewed sense of hope after a generous act of kindness.

Kind-hearted lady buys clothes for blind man

Kefa Manyoni Moembu, a visually impaired man, had been living in a dilapidated house after his wife and children had deserted him, leaving him to fend for himself in dire circumstances.

However, thanks to Sammy Ondimu Ngare, who initiated a fundraiser to build him a new house, and the compassionate spirit of Doreen Kwamboka Moses, Kefa's life has taken a remarkable turn.

Days after highlighting the man's plight, Kwamboka purchased new sets of clothes for Kefa, bringing a newfound sense of dignity and pride to his life.

Shared by Sammy Ondimu Ngare on his Facebook page on Wednesday, August 2023, heartwarming photos captured the poignant moment of Kefa's transformation.

How did the blind man transform?

"Mzee ameoga...Thank you my sister Doreen Kwamboka Moses," he captioned the photos.

Dressed in maroon pants, a floral shirt, and a black jacket, Kefa could be seen smiling at the camera, radiating a sense of gratitude for the positive change.

The act of compassion and generosity displayed by Kwamboka resonated deeply with Kenyans from all walks of life.

Ondimu raises funds to build house

Ondimu embarked on a charity mission to uplift the life of a 60-year-old blind man from Aunga village, Sengera ward in Kisii county.

Ondimu told TUKO.co.ke that this was after he got wind of the heartbreaking fact that the old man named Kefa Manyoni Moembu has been living in a dilapidated house.

Photos on his page show that Mzee Kefa had been forced to sink a small hole in the middle of the house where he slept in place of a bed.

Ondimu disclosed that the old man's wife and kids deserted him, leaving him to wallow in loneliness and hopelessness.
