Msokoro seeks refuge in caves

In an interview with TUKO.co.ke, his son David Kesis said the family had travelled to Nakuru Athletic Ground to attend his ordination as a pastor of the Christian Foundation Fellowship Church when the old man got lost.

"We had appointed someone to look after him during the ceremony, but unfortunately, he slipped away from his minder. He has dementia, and it's like the noise at the ceremony scared him," he said.

"He walked to the Nakuru GK Prison and was let in. He went all the way to the caves and stayed there for some time. Since people also go to pray there, he must have been irritated by the noise and opted to walk within the precincts of the prison until he got tired and finally slept on the ground," explained the new pastor.

Woman rescues Msokoro

A woman going about her errands in the morning found the old man shivering on the ground and reported to the head of Nyumba Kumi, who went to get him.

"They gave him some food, allowed him to rest then finally took him to Milimani Police Station. The police officers called us, and we went to get him. He is doing fine now, " he said.
