Italy - A millionaire has accused his fiancee of cheating on him at their lavish engagement party in northern Italy.

Segre leaves Seymandi because of lawyer

According to the New York Post, Massimo Segre, 64, slammed his fiancee Cristina Seymandi, 47, in front of 150 high-society guests at the engagement event in Turin.

Segre maintained he refused to be a “cuckold” while she allegedly embarked on a clandestine affair.

“I want to give Cristina the freedom to love. Specifically, to love another person; a notable lawyer, who she clearly cares about more than me,” Segre said during the mic-drop moment.

“Dear Cristina, I know how much you are in love with him mentally," he added on August 23.

Seymandi was at pains to keep a straight face as her bae read the scathing speech in front of their well-heeled guests.

Segre accuses ex of stealing KSh 110 million

Not to be put down for long, she has since hit back, calling in her attorneys and threatening to sue Segre for reputational damage and very serious attacks on social media.

In one interview, she described the speech as psychological violence and meticulously planned revenge, and maintained that her ex-boyfriend may have been manipulated.

The millionaire banker publicly accused Seymandi of stealing KSh 110 million ($760,000) from one of his accounts after the shocking speech. The blond beauty has since denied the claims, maintaining that he gave her money.

Seymandi has been involved in Italian politics and joint business ventures with Segre, further complicating their messy and acrimonious split.

The pair had been engaged for several years and planned to marry in October after pushing their wedding back due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Man cancels his marriage

In another story, a man called off his proposed marriage to a lady who insisted on them having an elaborate wedding ceremony.

The man's fiancee said she wanted an elaborate wedding that would cost nothing less than KSh 3 million.

The man dumped the lady and moved to Singapore since he said there were other better ideas for spending KSh 3 million.
