Nairobi - A baby held at Kenyatta University (KU) hospital for over two months has been laid to rest.

The little one, popularly known as Baby Lucky, was given a befitting send-off on Sunday, July 30, in a ceremony attended by friends and families.

The child's parents could finally take a break after burying their baby, who had been hospitalised since June.

Parents of Lucky struggled with a hospital bill of KSh 270,000 but were assisted by well-wishers, including Jeremy Damaris, who championed the fundraising.

The beginning of great things

They could not bury their 11-month-old bundle of joy because of the hefty bill. However, they finally bid their child farewell after the invoice was paid and the burial was arranged.

During the emotional ceremony, a man called Martin was introduced to speak, and he blessed the hearts of Lucky's parents.

"We will stand with Lucky's parents because we understand the pain of a parent. My thoughts are with Lucky's father and mother. On behalf of the realtor company, we will give the family a plot which will be the beginning of great things," he said, as his offer was welcomed with a shout.

Damaris was in tears after the amazing announcement saying Martin had helped him prior with KSh 100,000 for the hospital bill.
