Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Katheu said she buys smokies from the guy but not regularly.

"I purchased smokies from a guy at Railways stage in town, and later at 7 pm, he texted me. I wasn't offended honestly. I didn't confront him, but deleted the message and blocked his number," she said.

Commenting about the man's compliment, she said:

"Just took the compliment but blocked him to create boundaries."

Katheu urged businesspeople to be professional with clients, noting some lack professionalism.

"I get it that they're human, and so it is normal to express their feelings, but they should respect their customers' privacy and personal lives. Going as far as texting someone is just not it," she said.

Reacting to Katheu's post, netizens, especially women, shared their experiences with small-scale businessmen.

A Twitter user identified as @A_D_N_W said:

"After a certain bhajia guy aanze hizi story... I learnt my lesson... Always pay cash, even in matatus or you will be receiving texts and calls at 12 am."

Man exposes 'thirsty' masseuse

Recently, TUKO.co.ke reported that a Kenyan man has left netizens baffled after sharing screenshots of his private WhatsApp chats with a lady working at a popular barber shop.

The man went to his local barber, but the lady who always serves him was not around, but another stood in for her.

In the screenshots shared on Twitter by a man identified as @Blockest, the lady contacted him a few minutes before midnight. She started the conversation with greetings.

The lady introduced herself as the one who offered after-shave services to the man, and the conversation became private. The gentleman acknowledged that the lady did a good job and even tipped her.

"You are good at after-shave services, by the way. You are better than her (the other lady)," he said.

His statement excited the lady, and she responded, bragging about her gifted hands. "Thanks. I am a Kamba, so I know how to touch a man," she boasted.

She begged him to retain her so that she could offer the services even when the other lady returned.

"Was this the reason for the conversation, especially at this hour?" he asked her.

The lady boldly responded, commenting on the man's looks.

"Yes, and also, you are handsome and kind. Most customers don't tip us," she said.

The conversation didn't end there, and she frankly inquired if he was a married man.

"So you don't have a wife or children?" she posed.

The man said the lady later called him, but he didn't pick.
