Purity Nyawira Miriti is lucky to be alive after walking out the scene of a motorbike accident with just bruises and cuts.

It is a development that has essentially left her grappling to make ends meet, as she can not hustle as much, until she recovers fully.

Worked as boda boda rider

In an interview with TUKO.co.ke, Nyawira disclosed that before the accident, she made a living working as a boda boda rider.

That was until four months ago when I was involved in the crazy accident that changed everything.

"My bike was stolen while I was in the hospital, and that's how things spiralled downwards," she said.

The 29-year-old added that she, unfortunately, did not go to college as she dropped out of school due to a lack of fees.

Things are thick

Stuck and with bills to pay, Nyawira made what is arguably one of the most difficult decisions of her life; carry a placard on the streets.

Normally, such moves are for those who have hit rock bottom and are willing to brave the looks on the streets for the sake of getting help.

Nyawira knew her situation when had sunk to unexplainable levels when she sat down and wrote a placard addressed to former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko.

On the placard, she explained that she is a hardworking, honest, and diligent individual who simply needed a job.

"I have an up-to-date driving license for both vehicles and motorbikes, with lots of experience," read part of the statement on the placard.

Nyawira, however, clarified that she is open to any job that comes her way because things are really bad.

Letter to Sonko

Nyawira's case comes just a few hours after Shine, a young boy from Kilifi county, penned an adorable letter to Sonko applauding him for his charitable acts.

The young man disclosed his younger brother has cerebral palsy while his mother was jobless after her business collapsed.

Shine asked the philanthropic politician known for uplifting many needy people to help them as they had no place to stay or food.
