In a video on his page, Wema informs the vendor that he wants a cob but does not have money to pay for it.

"She accepted to give me free maize because she understands what it means by having nothing. Learn something here," he captioned the video.

From the video, Wema expected the woman to reject his offer and give reasons for not giving out the maize for free, most notably that it would eat into her meagre profits.

World still has good people

Her willingness to help without hesitation warmed the philanthropist's heart, as well as those who watched the video.

According to Wema, the social experiment proved that kindness still exists in a world of selfishness.

He explained that his idea was to see if people would indeed help a stranger in need and that by the woman willingly agreeing to give out a cob for free, his belief was restored.

"Watu wazuri duniani bado wako," he continued.

When he interviewed the kind lady, she disclosed that she is a mother of two who sells boiled maize to earn a living.

Social media reactions

Netizens praised the woman's selfless act, expressing their admiration for her compassion and willingness to help the less fortunate.

Ruth Ambululi:

"Do good to people because you don't know your divine helpers Good altitude will attract your helpers from God."

Maria Kibbe:

"Whatever you do to others, it shall be done unto you, that is the word of God, blessings."

Wanjiku Kibe:

"Wow the lady is so kind may God bless her work. The kind of people we need in the society."

Her willingness to extend a helping hand to a stranger not only filled a stomach but also touched a soul, igniting a spark of hope and inspiring others to follow in her footsteps.
