Nairobi - President William Ruto has begun his five-day tour of the Mount Kenya region.

Ruto started his expedition to the vote-rich region by launching projects in the populated Githurai area before proceeding to other places of the mountain.

His tour has attracted celebrations and naysayers at equal measures, with digital strategist Pauline Njoroge claiming that the president was launching projects of his predecessor.

Njoroge said some projects were completed long ago in the Mount Kenya region.

"William Ruto will be camping in the Mt. Kenya region to launch Uhuru’s projects, some of which were completed long ago. I thought they said hakuna kitu Uhuru alikuwa anafanya," Njoroge published on her social media platforms.

The Uhuru Kenyatta defender highlighted some projects like the KSh 827 million Githurai Market, KSh 229 million Naromoru level four hospital.

She also mentioned the Kirinyaga water supply project and the Githurai water supply project costing KSh 1.3 billion and KSh 1.2 billion, respectively.

She has consistently criticised the Kenya Kwanza administration over what she labelled as governance blunders.

Pauline Njoroge: I shall not be silenced

After his dramatic arrest in Malindi, Njoroge vowed that she would not be silenced by the Kenya Kwanza administration.

According to the digital strategist, her arrest only strengthened her resolve, and from now on, she will not sit and watch things go wrong in the country.

Njoroge, who is affiliated with the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party, called on patriotic Kenyans to speak out against alleged attempts by President William Ruto's administration to recreate the country's dark days.

"I shall not be silenced! By detaining us, you only strengthened our resolve. We will not sit and watch as some fellows try to turn the clock back, recreating our country's dark past. Patriots of that generation sacrificed sweat and blood to liberate our country from dictatorship, so that we may have the democratic space we currently enjoy."
"Because of our present circumstances, the responsibility to guard jealousy our hard earned freedom has fallen upon our generation. We must bear that responsibility bravely," Njoroge said.
