Kakamega- Mumias East MP Peter Salasya has wowed Kenyans on social media after building a magnificent house for his older brother, who paid his school fees in 2007.

The first-time lawmaker said he decided to build his sibling the exquisite house as his kind gesture while he was in Form Two in 2007 left an indelible mark in his heart.

How did Peter Salasya's brother support him?

In a moving Facebook post, Salasya said his brother decided to pay his fees following his father's death, so he wanted to show his gratitude by upgrading his living standards.

The parliamentarian encouraged those taking care of their siblings and other family members to feel encouraged as the future could bring forth blessings they can partake of.

"I decided to build this house for my brother, who paid my school fees after the death of my father in 2007 when I was in Form Two at Lubinu High School and supported me to also enrol at Egerton University Town Campus. This is a show of gratitude.
If you are supporting your brother, sister, cousin or friend, just do it. Do not get tired because you never know about tomorrow. He or she might become the greatest pillar in your life," he said.

The MP, who also built his mother a house, warmed many with his post.

Peek into Salasya's rural home

A few months ago, Salasya flaunted the mansion he had built in the village.

Salasya showed off the exterior of the finished house, and it looked exquisite with perfectly done gardens.

Sharing the photos of the finished house, the MP attached an old photo depicting his previous desperate life.

"I will never stop praising you, Lord. Aki Mungu wewe. Always set your eye on the ball no matter what you go through ….It has been a journey thank you Lord for your faithfulness," said Salasya.
