PS Raymond Omollo Rescues Homa Bay Widow With Disability From Mud House, Builds Her Beautiful Home

Interior PS Raymond Omollo has once again warmed hearts after building another widow a house.

Rose Achieng Odhiambo, a widow with disability met the PS a few weeks ago during his homecoming party and shared her touching story, begging him to build her a house as the one she was living in was almost falling.

Omollo later sent his team, led by philanthropist Victor Ayugi, to build a house for the 52-year-old mother of two.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, Ayugi said Achieng was so excited after the PS honoured his promise to construct her a decent house.

"She is a mother of two; one of her children is fisherman, and the other is still in high school. The PS promised to pay her child's school fees," Ayugi said.

While handing over the house to Achieng at Wachara village, Karachuonyo constituency, Homa Bay county, villagers flooded her compound. They sang and danced as they praised the PS for helping the needy in society.

A local pastor and some villagers prayed at Achieng's newly constructed house, and she was also handed shopping with Omollo's team.

Two months ago, a 73-year-old granny from Kabondo Kasipul, Homa Bay county, was all smiles after Omollo put a decent roof over her head and her family. He also built her a latrine

Dorcas Achieng Osewe, a widow, lost some of her children and remained with one, but he is mentally challenged. She was left with several grandchildren she was looking after.

The granny was living in a small mud house with rusted iron sheets and was gifted a new home after her plight was highlighted by a Kenyan philanthropist, identified as Victor Ayugi.

He disclosed that the interior PS gave out cash, which was used to build the granny's house from the foundation to the roof.

"She was extremely happy after she was handed over the house. The women from the FEMA group helped a lot during the construction of the house," he said.

Omollo has been passionate about helping needy people in society and helping widows, orphans and the elderly in his home county and other counties, including Kisumu.
