Uganda - Acclaimed Ugandan singer Clever J has expressed optimism that he will soon reconcile with his estranged wife, Sharon Apolot.

Clever J's life falls apart

Clever J claimed his wife left him when things started falling apart for him, and he went broke.

“Back then, I was a star, and she expected the life of Barbie (Itungo) or Zuena (Kirema),” he said.

Pulse Uganda reports that the musician's wife, Sharon Apolot, left their home in Wakiso because their marriage had become unbearable.

She accused the singer of overdrinking, substance abuse and sleeping around with other women.

“This house has become his lodge,” Apolot said years ago.

“He doesn't leave money here, sometimes I get food from our neighbours. The other day, he came home very violent and smashed our TV in anger," she added.

Singer tells Bugemebe he is building a big house

Apolot also accused Clever J of refusing to pay school fees for their two children.

In a recent event at Pastor Wilson Bugembe's Worship House, the veteran singer disclosed he is doing much better financially and is now in a position to transform his life.

According to the ‘Manzi wa nani’ singer, things have started looking up following his recent breakthrough in music, and he's even putting the final touches on his house.

“My house is nearing completion; things in general are moving in the right direction. I feel happier, I feel more hope all thanks to Jesus,” he said.

Church gives Clever J KSh 67,000

When asked by the pastor if he was ready to get back with his estranged wife, the singer expressed optimism.

“There is nothing that can be stopped if God allows it, I know she can see me now; I pray for her to succeed in whatever she’s doing," he remarked.

Pastor Bugembe congratulated the singer for transforming his life and accepting salvation. He pledged to support him with KSh 106,000. Other church members also contributed to a tune of KSh 67,000 to the veteran artist.

Ne-yo, estranged wife crystal smith spotted together

In another story, Crystal Smith US and singer Ne-Yo were spotted at one of their restaurants opening with the musician all smiley, but his ex looked like she was doing it for the camera.

Smith filed for divorce in August 2022, accusing her then-husband, of infidelity and impregnating another woman.
