The painful video captured by philanthropist Phelix Makanda also captured the Vihiga man begging for some food.

"Kindly buy for me milk and bread. I am famished. Look at my stomach; it is very empty," he said as he pulled up his shirt to show he was hungry.

Depending on neighbours for food

He depended on his neighbours for food, but sometimes, he was forced to sleep hungry.

He also shared he did not have proper bedding, as he showed he slept on rugged blankets and some rags.

"This is what I use when I sleep; I have nothing else," he shared, pointing at the dirty beddings he sat on.

Needing KSh 16,000 for skin disease treatment

The man noted he needed around KSh 16,000 to seek proper and professional treatment at the hospital for his disease.

However, he could not raise the money since he did not have a source of income or a reliable support system from family or friends.

All he had was one cow in his compound that he waited for to deliver a calf and figure out what to do next.

Makanda promised to return to the man and offer him a helping hand.

Samia Suluhu's golden heart

Crossing borders, Tanzanian president Samia Suluhu built a beautiful house for a young boy with a disease.

Suluhu constructed a new residence for Amim Mustafa Baranyikwa, a boy who grappled with a persistent skin condition.

During a visit to the region, Suluhu was deeply moved upon learning about the boy's challenges, as reported by Ayo TV.

She committed to providing his family with a new home and covering the expenses for his medical treatment.
