Ruto's Disgruntled Supporter Pleads For More Time On TV To Rant About President: "Kuna Kitu Inaniuma"

Kisii - A disgruntled supporter of President William Ruto has humorously pleaded with a Citizen TV journalist to give him more time to rant about the conduct of the head of state.

The Kisii man who confessed he initially supported the president during the electioneering period lamented that Ruto has reneged on his pledges to him and other supporters since taking over the presidency.

Speaking to Citizen TV, the man, identified as Robert Nanyuki, started by accusing Ruto of deceiving the electorate, further adding that the president had changed from his days as a deputy president.

"He has been lying to us...No give me more time, I am not done talking," Robert lamented to the journalist who added him some few minutes.

The man went on to lament about the high cost of living, saying the first in command should find a way to lower the prices of food.

"We are really suffering! He should lower the prices of food, fuel and also school fees," he said.

He was flanked by Azimio supporters who were holding a vigil in Kisii for the victims of police brutality.

Kisii has been among the areas where residents have actively taken part in demonstrations that began in March and stopped for a while before resuming in July 2023, to the surprise of many political enthusiasts.

On Wednesday, July 25, the residents carried candles and sang religious songs as they matched to the Central Business District (CBD), where they camped for a moment of silence and spoke against the killing of protesters by police officers.

They broke into Christian songs and chanted "Yesu Oh Yesu mapenzi yako yatimizwe" (Jesus, may your will be done) as they convened for the daytime mourning match.

Azimio la Umoja One Kenya leaders on Monday, July 24, called off protests set for Wednesday, July 26, and substituted the event with vigils and prayer sessions for the deceased and injured.
