He added that he was contented with the progress of the construction, terming it as being perfectly on track

"650 Kenyans are employed in building what is set to be the most ultra-modern iconic sports arena in the region, a 60,000-capacity football-customised stadium of elite calibre."

What appeared like an innocent video of a CS posting his achievements, triggered mixed reactions from netizens.

How did netizens react?

Namwamba's video stirred outrage among netizens, with some lauding his work while others expressed lack of faith in his project.

ValehMkadinali:

"Just a scheme for stealing public funds ...in kickbacks through exaggeration of prices."

Kaleke Saiameto:

"Hii venye itatokea ni machos tu."

Denis Odhiambo:

"Great work, with more managers than workers on site."

Paul 072:

"Harambee Stars are going to play in Malawi. Apologise to Kenyans first for this debacle. Didn’t you open “World Class” stadium in Embu or some other place? Football isn’t played on X with PR and meagre jobs."

Lindah Mbaisi:

"Great. We Cannot wait to see it when complete."

Jack:

"Continue yapping on Twitter while your co-hosts are testing their complete stadiums!"

How did Ababu respond?

The CS appeared to be responsive to his audience and replied to almost every comment made on his tweet.

He, however, didn't spare anyone who bashed him over his video. He made the same reply to anyone who was rude.

"Breath in. Breath out. Now relax. Bile kills bruh!" he replied to every negative comment.

Harambee Stars to play in Malawi

This comes days after Kenya's Harambee Stars' bid to qualify for their first FIFA World Cup was dealt a blow.

The latest setback to Harambee Stars was due to the lack of a proper football stadium to host the international ties.

This comes after Confederation of African Football (CAF) officials failed to clear Kenya's stadiums.

The footballing body inspected stadiums twice in April, prompting the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) to scout for alternative venues.
