Evans Mwangi, alias Acid Boy, has firmly established himself as Kenya's fastest racer on two wheels.

Is Acid Boy Kenya's fastest biker?

During the Sleek Superbike Series at the Whistling Morans in Athi River, his prowess was displayed over the weekend.

The Sunday, April 21 event saw racers grouped according to their bikes' cubic capacity, with the highest being 1,000.

Each category had different laps around the winding go-kart track, with the higher-rating cc bikes getting more laps.

The racers had two sessions to prove their mastery of their machines, in the morning and evening.

Which bike Acid Boy ride?

Acid, racing a golden BMW S 100RR, emerged second in the morning session after a mishap.

He lost control while leaning into a corner and broke a foot peg-luckily; he was uninjured. Despite racing without the foot peg, Acid Boy kept gaining on the competition but had to settle for second.

"I am sorry I let my fans down," Acid Boy told TUKO.co.ke.

Acid Boy had a point to prove in the evening session as rain clouds loomed.

Acid Boy shot off the line, leaving the rest of the competitors in his wake.

He lapped some competitors thrice before crossing the finish line doing a wheelie.

Acid, who runs a program teaching kids how to ride, was awarded by Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi.

“Heshima idumu,” the dreadlocked racer, who also runs a garage said.

Acid’s win cemented his name as Kenya’s fastest biker, as he also won a drag race weeks earlier.

While presenting the ward, Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi admitted it was a well-spent afternoon.

"I only see such events on TV. You can be sure that I will be back many times. It is a fun day out, and you can bring your family. I encourage you to organise more events. I have enjoyed it,” Wanyonyi said.

Whos is the mysterious Kenyan 'ghost rider'?

In other news, a Kenyan biker steadily gained popularity for posting videos of speeding and leaning into corners along highways.

His most daring stunt yet depicted him gunning his bike and attaining speeds of 300km/h on a busy road.

A few Kenyans celebrated the video, but many noted that he was risking his life for an adrenaline rush.
