Bomet: Police Arrest Sigor Boys For Recording, Circulating Indecent Video

• Police have arrested seven individuals involved in recording an explicit video in Chebanyi village, Kimaya, Chepalungu
• The suspects were traced with the help of nyumba kumi elders after an adult-rated video circulated online
• Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in Chepalungu are leading the investigation

Bomet - Police officers have arrested suspects who recorded themselves engaging in explicit acts.

According to a police report filed at the Olbutyo Police Station, the seven individuals allegedly took part in the acts in Chebanyi village in Kimaya, Chepalungu.

The police said they sought the help of nyumba kumi elders who helped trace the said individuals.

"Following the circulation of pornography video purported to have taken place at Chebanyiny village of Kimaya sub-location m/r 990905 about 3kms west of the station, Police officers together with area chief and nyumba kumi elders conducted the operation at the said area and managed to arrest seven suspects among them two have been identified," the police said.

They further pointed out that detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Chepalungu had taken over investigations into the matter.

"The suspects have been placed in police custody for interrogation and miscellaneous application to enhance further investigation," continued the report.

The officers revealed the video that drew wide condemnation on social media platforms might have been recorded in December 2023.

In the traumatising clip shared on X and other platforms, several men can be seen in a dingy room sexually assaulting a lady.

Area chief Edwin Barusei said the main suspect, Anderson Mutai, was hosting the recorded clip.

The woman's screams for help seem to be on deaf ears as the men continue chatting in their mother tongue.

Nairobi man allegedly touches policewoman's backside

In a separate report, Timothy Mulei was apprehended after allegedly, and indecently so, touching a policewoman manning traffic on Thika Road.

Mulei's conduct irked the policewoman, who, with the help of her colleagues, clamped down on him after he attempted to run away.

He was arraigned and charged with contravening Section 11(a) of the Sexual Offences Act of 2006.

Mulei, however, denied the charges, securing his freedom on KSh 80,000 bail and an alternative of KSh 100,000 bond.
