A 63-year-old grandmother and her 26-year-old husband have said they can't wait to start a family after announcing they are expecting their first child.

Cheryl McGregor and Quran McCain have confirmed they are expecting a baby together in a new TikTok video.

The loved-up couple gained substantial attention online due to their 37-year age gap.

According to media reports, Cheryl, already a mum of seven and grandmother of 17 from a previous relationship, revealed that their surrogate is pregnant.

Surrogate pregnancy

The couple shared their joy at hearing the baby's heartbeat for the first time and posted ultrasound images for their followers.

Over the moon about starting their own family, Cheryl said, "Oh baby!" while Quran expressed his excitement about becoming a dad, saying:

"I can't wait. We finally get to start our little family. I'm so happy. I'm gonna be a father. We got a family, finally."

Their TikTok update also included a sound clip of the baby's heartbeat, with the couple expressing their delight at the prospect of becoming parents.

How did Chery McGregor and Quran McCain meet?

The two first met in 2012 as co-workers at the fast-food chain Dairy Queen, and Quran was just 15 years old.

The two lost contact but reunited in 2020 when caretaker Quran saw Cheryl working as a cashier at a convenience store. That is when they fell in love. They got married in 2021.

Cheryl and Quran really tried their best to get their child on their own, but due to the lady's age, they decided to settle for surrogacy or adoption.

The two are aware that Quran may have to raise the child alone owing to Cherly's age and are prepared for it.

They said that their sex life is great and they also have great chemistry. They also remain unfazed in the face of online hate usually directed at them.
