In a video that was shared on social media by @muungwana_wa_thika_road, a matatu driver was seen being chased by a police officer.

The details of the chase are unclear, but the man who shared the clip revealed that he initially thought the two were performing a skit.

According to @muungwana_wa_thika_road, the matatu driver allegedly managed to get away from the police officer, and the conductor drove off with the matatu.

"I almost thought the two were shooting content. The driver was trying to run away from the police officer and the conductor got away with the car."

In the clip, the matatu driver was seen running ahead of the police officer. The cop tried catching up with the driver, but his efforts proved futile.

Why makanga and tout fought on Kenyan highway

In 2023, a video emerged on social media capturing a 14-seater matatu driver confronting his tout on one of the highways suspected to be in Nairobi.

In the 21-second clip, the elderly driver is seen chasing the tout from the aforementioned vehicle, but the latter insists on onboarding, causing a traffic buildup on the road.

The two, in turn, engaged in a war of words that turned into a fistfight. The driver unleashed Kung Fu-like moves while targeting the tout, but he missed his target.
