Nairobi - The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has kicked off its grassroots elections in various parts of the country.

Governor Johnson Sakaja had gone to cast his vote at St George's Primary School when he failed to find his name in the system.

At the polling centre, the county chief was welcomed by other irate voters who complained that they couldn't be verified in the system.

One of the voters pointed out to the county boss that they've been voting at the same centre for years and have never had an issue.

Sakaja tried out his details for some time before the system showed he was not registered at the centre.

Another frustrated voter added his voice to the discourse, revealing that he had been voting at the same station for 20 years and had never experienced such issues.

As he left the polling centre, he promised to call UDA party officials to clarify the issue.

"It's okay. Let me call the party," said the county boss.
